Use the service responsibly
Use GSI to discover and preserve legitimate scholarly records. Do not abuse the search service, submit misleading information, or use the platform to infringe another person's rights.
Scores are indicators
A GSI Score is a field-relative visibility indicator based on public data. It is not accreditation, peer review, a guarantee of quality, or a recommendation to publish in a journal. Always consider the field, reference size, confidence, and source data shown with it.
Public records
Choosing to preserve a record creates a public snapshot. Because it is stored on IPFS, it may remain accessible after the original interface changes. Review the information before choosing to save it.
Availability
GSI depends on OpenAlex, Pinata, hosting providers, and network services. We aim for reliable access but cannot guarantee that every search, score, or stored link will always be available.
